Don:
I started playing golf at age 52 (10 years ago). Also I have a crooked lower spine and have injured my lower back several times over the years. It has been a struggle with the “convential” swing (lots of pain with minimal gain).
Since I purchased your 4 DVD set, and with the advice I get on your web site and in emails, my ball striking has improved significantly. There is now light at the end of the tunnel!
Thank you, and best of luck to D.J.
Don, D.J.
You guys are great. This video is excellent…
I have used your lessons and swing technique since 2003 and appreciate the new video set and these lessons. At 63 I hit my 2 iron 220 and my wedges kinda close..a club championship and many of my friends dollars still come my way..oh what fun it is..
My deep thanks for sharing what you have learned and helping me really enjoy my time on the course..

I enjoy the tips but do not get the video section
very well done thanks
what do you think/ shot 68 two weeks in a row bill had 73
great clip, but you didn’t include the fact the knees pointed out saves the knee joints!! We of the older set need that 30 degrees to save our knees, in some cases more than your other points
I like the clip, I recently purchased your DVD series and manual, and have already seen incredible improvement in consistency with my irons, however, I am struggling a little bit with my driver -any suggestions? Thanks
i have purchased the 4 dvd set and studied your clips, although i have played for the first time this year and tried the 70 degree turn and narrow stance,i have seen an improvement with solid contact, especially with the irons. thanks
P.S. and with direction.
Thanks, it is taking a long time to adapt to the changes but my golf is improving
Great Video!! Thank you!! I now have the DVD’s and had to also have your book….having fun working on my game ever since!!! I am sold on the Don Trahan method!!!
This video has massively helped my drives – due to the simple tip for consistent weight transfer! You’ve added 30 yards to my drives, cheers!
Hi Don and DJ-
This video is fantastic—-you should add it to any possible modifications of the dvd set. The preloading aspect was really helpful.
Don, I’m age 69 and no matter how I try I can’t seem to get my swing faster than 78-84 mph. Can you suggest any way to increase clubhead speed? I just ordered an “A” (senior flex) shaft for my driver……good move? Thanks for your help.
Ray
HELLO DON…just ordered the 4 dvd set plus your book…i am 66 years old and untill my hip replacement and back surgery, i played to a 8 handicap…now it’s 19…gave up golf 3 yeare ago, but decided to try again…here’s my question…i am left handed but play right..over 50 years now..due to a childhood accident, my left arm is about 3 inches shorter than my right..the differance being from my elbow to my shoulder…does this situation make any differance with my setup? THANK YOU…JOE SCOTTO
Surge, one of the best lessons I’ve ever had, and I wasn’t even on the practice tee. I love the preloading on the right side.
This isn’t a comment about the video, but I have a question. I have trouble hitting my irons high. Will your simple swing system help me with this?
Don,
I can’t agree more with the video. I am alittle confused though, can you hit off the arrows themselves or do you place the ball outside the “H”. And the top of the H becomes the aiming/club line and the bottom of the “H”is your foot line
I’m hitting my irons more solid and consistently, but am still struggling with my driver. Any suggestions?
This is a great video! It should have been included in the DVD set!
After 4 weeks, self tutored with your DVD and manual (since I am half way across the world in Sydney), I think I am getting the hang of the PP Swing. In the last club comp, I did hit 17 of 18 fairways and played 10 shots better than my handicap. The tip on putting practice definitely helped. By the way your foundation manual (pg 48) refers to a Chapter13 on shotmaking techniques but I only have 11 chapters in my manual.
To Ray Gawiak,
Soft muscles move faster than stiff ones. Ray, you need to get into a muscle stretching system and employ it on a daily basis. Your MPH will increase dramatically, guaranteed!
Check out on-line, Roger Fredericks’ DVD series on golf swing flexibility. He has wonderful stretching exercises that he walks you through at a comfortable pace. He is also an ex-PGA player.
Have played off single figures and can move the ball out there but now creeping up to 11. Always used a rotational swing but too flat, great for driving if your strong -and I am, but now divots point to the right and an occassional shank 1 or 2 times in a medal is causing the handicap to rise. I know I need a cure and was going to purchase but your testimony from Mr Tupper has seriously detracted from the credibility of your system. Are we seriously expected to believe that a complete duffer was cured in one lesson could move it out 280 plus, some of my best ever, and could learn your system so adroitly. I note from other comments that the response is mixed and I would love to join the winners not the losers but baseball analogies mean nothing to me (UK) and I seek reassurance that I can unlearn my flat swing?
Hi Don,
Michael here, say question is, driver and fairway woods are horrible! My irons are right on the money! I have had to club up with this new swing and my driver is worse than before. Please help lost for words and the game, bewildered in New Mexico????
Thank You
Michael,
Woods being longer need to be swung up faster in the forward upswing. Try increasing your energy and arm and hand speed coming into impact and especially through impact and swinging up to the T-finish. It is the same as if you were skipping rocks and you wanted to get more skips you would have to increase the speed of your throwing arm. Lastly, today’s drivers and fairway woods are for many golfers too long. Try choking up an inch or two and see if that helps as it should help increase your arm speed in the forward swing and help you hit it more solid and straight like your irons.
Don
Don, you are a star,
I’m 41 and have only been playing for about 2 years, once a week, maybe squeeze a couple in during our very short summer months here in the uk. Although, I am still down the driving range when it’s -1 degree C during winter.
Anyway, I had 2 lessons when i first started 2 years ago and 6months in, I was doing ok around the 100’s not bad for somebody that had not played for long. Anyway, whatever I did, I could not improve and I came across your website and have been doing the PPGS for about 8 months now.
I just wanted to let you know, Its great, I don’t get back ache, I am now shooting around 82 now, not forgetting I only play once a week and one evening at the range and it’s a consistant 82. I purchased the DVD on Driving a few days ago and it’s improved my swing again, I am really looking forward to some warm weather.
Thanks surge, keep up the good work
Glen
Hi Don,
I am a real beginner (played 3 times on a course and went 4 or 5 times to a driving range), and probably make all the mistakes you can think of. However, my father in law bought your DVD’s and manual a couple of month back and swears by it, unfortunately he leaves a few hundreds km’s away from me and cannot really teach me the swing i did watch the DVD’s, but I guess I need more than videos and manual, so my question is simple (I think) being in Sydney (Australia) do you know if and where I can find a teacher that would teach me the PPGS, I don’t really want someone that will teach me a full swing as I am already confused enough.
With a couple of friends we have decided to hit the range every week after work, so I’m hoping to improve my game (I haven’t really got one yet, but i’m working on it lol) for the next time I meet the inlaws
Thank you,
Sebastien
I absolutely love this lesson !…..Im a newbie to golf, and tried just these suggestions, and they do WORK !……This is probably the best suggestion that I have come across yet !
Thanks very much Don !

hope you can help
thanx for the extra video – it’s very helpful! now how about a similar video about doing the same with the downswing which iforward is really the forward upswing?
