My eye sight in my right eye is pretty bad, and I have been topping the ball and not making solid contact. I tried movingthe ball up in my stance a little and even looking about an inch in front of the ball. That little bit, any advice? Norman Davis
I just came back from 2 days in Hilton Head with Greg MacDonnell (long game and short game clinics). What a great guy – a fabulous instructor and an even better host. My new swing is a work in progress but it's going in the right direction and when I do it properly – what a great feeling and no back problems after 2 full days.

I am a PGA Pro, retired from European Senior Tour, and have taken up the PPGS system with extremely good results and am convinced now that it is the only way one should learn how to play golf. I am interested in becoming PPGS “Certified” and to give lessons in Germany/Austria. How do I get “Certified'”? John
I don't know exactly who you are talking about when you say “you people” because you lump club fitting and lessons into the same group. As far as I know Don doesn't fit clubs so I assume you are talking about JLynn. If you go and buy a set of clubs from one of the golf stores, like I did, the price is actually comparable. And I didn't get the benifit of being professionally fitted for each club and having them built specifically for “my swing”. Golf lessons are fairly high no matter who you go to, probably why I have never had a lesson, but if I had taken lessons from the start I probably could have saved myself a lot of experimenting by using a system to look at when things start to go bad. Also I have never heard anyone on this site say anything about “transforming anyone into a pro in a matter of weeks”. None of us can go any farther in sports than our God given talent will take us. All we can do is be the best we can be. Nobody is twisting your arm to make you take lessons but it will probably get you started in the right direction.

I've been playing bad golf for 45 years, probably only had a half-dozen 9-hole rounds of bogey golf. I recently went to HH, SC to Greg McDonnell and Ken Trahan and learned some solid golf truths without being overwhelmed. I've never spent more than $35 for a couple of hour lessons which bombarded me with more info than I could possibly hold onto. I thoroughly enjoyed gettting solid teaching without getting beat up. Greg was a complete pro and very hospitable and Ken was a blast. I maybe one as you said but I feel that as of a week after the 2-day school that this has a very good chance to work, even on my game!

I highly recommend Greg McDonald's instruction. I recently took my 12 year old daughter to him and we both received two one-half day instruction blocks from Greg. My daughter had never swung a golf club before and I was looking to learn the PPGS swing first hand. Greg was top notch. I have cut 10 strokes off my game and my daughter is in love with the game. I would be interested in a Dallas-based instructor as well. Short of that, I might be able to meet with someone at a local driving range to watch them swing and have them watch me swing. Fine points may be illusive, but I think we could pick up any main issues. There are a lot of things you can't see yourself do when you swing.
is this only instructors that teach this method? i do not learn from dvd's. Need hands on help.
Bob, I am in the Dallas area nearly every Thurs. and Fri. (Flower Mound). I would like to find someone else to practice the PPGS swing with, lacking instructors. I don't check this blog every day. Jody.
And, Surely, the whole idea is to be able to enjoy the time we spend on the golf course!! For me, hunting through the brambles and high grass for 4 or 5 hours is not my idea of enjoyment, so a system that works, and allows me more time on the fairway, is No 1 in my book!!!
My question is about certified instructors. Are there going to be any pre-requisites for certification? ie: Certain Handicap? PGA/RCGA membership? Qualified PGA Professional?
If not, I am certainly interested in any instructor course here in Alberta, Canada.

I agree there is a need here so when can we see some global expansion of ppgs? I have just bought in to the idea and my first attempt was a disaster – but I will keep trying. J. Davidson
@ Tom. I agree with remarks that Cmallen3 and Steve Smith stated. I have never seen anything like a “promise” or even a “hint” that the PPGolfSwing program would turn me into a pro. I have no expectations of that, nor do most of the people who I chat with on the blog and in the forum (Inner Circle). At my age it would be pretty silly anyway. We love golf and want to learn how to 1) play the game better (most of us simply for bragging rights) and 2) to swing in a way that we are not hurting our backs, shoulders, etc but more in tune with the way that our bodies work.
