I read some of the blogs after the 12/3 article on helping avoid or cure elbow pain. A few blogs mentioned using arms band wraps below the elbow. I can’t believe I forgot that, as I always have one, a “Tru Fit” in my bag. We also got some advice about cooking eggs in a copper pan, using graphite clubs, another great one to help reduce shock from impact. We also were told about Ultra Sound Wands, and got a good exercise of twisting a light 2 or 3 pound weight back and forth in your hand while sitting down in a chair. Thanks for all the good input you all added to help us have more options to help and heal our elbow pain. Now, let’s look at ion bracelets.
I was introduced to ion bracelets and magnet bracelets by sales reps out on the PGA Tour years ago. They were handing them out like candy to the players and teachers, touting them as the way to reduce and eliminate aches and pains. Sounded good to me and, with my aches and pains, I took a few to try and have been wearing them ever since.
I am presently wearing a Titan Rules (www.titanrules.com) Minus Ion Bracelet on each wrist. The Titan bracelet is a rubbery type material. The package information states: “Titanium among other metals, has excellent properties that can be beneficial to your health and well being. This innovative product makes use of the negative charge and ionization characteristics of titanium. Once you wear one (or more) of the Minus Ion Wrists Bands, the semi-permanent power of the negative ions and the ionization of the titanium regulate the ion balance within your body to refresh you inside and out.” The Titan rules wrist bands come in 10 colors, including clear.
My left bracelet is black and the right is clear transparent. My wife, Susan, always wears a clear one on her right wrist as she has sore and achy knees. Her bracelet broke around a month ago and a day or two later she told me her knees were really aching. She asked me to get her another bracelet. Luckily for her, I had an extra in my desk draw. She put it on and said the next day her knees were already feeling better.
At our recent golf school, I was wearing an ion wrist band on each wrist and also had a magnet bracelet on the right wrist. At dinner one night one of the guys asked me about them, as to what they were and do they help. I told him they were ion bands. I felt they really helped me and mentioned that my wife also wears one and she believes they help reduce her achy knee pain. I went on to add that it may be truly physiological help or just voodoo or hocus pocus and in my head. Whatever it may be I am sure as my wife also is that we both feel physically better with less ache and pain and that also affects our mental well being. In any case what the mind believes is what we feel. And I feel better wearing them, plain and simple.
Another popular wrist band is the Trion: Z, whose slogan is “ionic gear for the active lifestyles.” Like the Titan Rules band, the Trion: Z is really popular on the PGA Tour. Many of the equipment trailers have them for the taking for their Tour staffers.
The Trion Z: band is made up on two cloth bands looking like thick shoe laces held together with a plastic clasp on one side and a bigger one, about the size of a dime. Each of the laces is usually a different color (I have four different colored ones) so you can have numerous bracelets with different colors and co-ordinate them with your outfit of the day. Trion: Z got innovative with their marketing in that the dime sized magnet clasp can have logos on them. DJ gave me one that has a navy and a white band and on the dime clasp are the letters FJ for the shoe company.
The package states: Revitalize your body from daily stress and physical activity with Trion: Z magnetic minus–ion products. Trion: Z combines the natural power of magnets and the energizing effects of minus-ions to balance the body’s magnetic and electrical fields. Excessive positive- ion levels are associated with fatigue, lack of concentration and body aches. This balancing effect, hormesis, allows your body to adapt to today’s environment overpowered by electronics and stress. Trion: Z uses magnets in a patented Alternating North-South Polarity Orientation (ANSPO) which increases the magnet’s power to penetrate deeper into muscle and tissue fibers providing maximum benefit. The Trion: Z bands use Stayers, a unique fabric woven with minus-ion producing minerals to regenerate your body. This fabric can be hand washed or be wet and still maintain its minus-ion properties for those active in water sports.
These packages have some real interesting information and claims about the help these two wrists bands can provide your body. The key and main point here is there is the possibility (and many Tour players wear them and swear by them (as I do) that you will get relief from an inexpensive product you just wear on your wrists. Trion: Z also has bands for your ankles and one for your neck, which I also wear. Most importantly, you are not putting any drugs into your body. You are just wearing ion wrist bands.
The copper bracelet is putting copper into your body which, as a physiological fact, we need copper and too little is not good. The leader in stylish copper and magnetic bracelets is Sabona. You can see their line of products at www.sabona.com. They have also come out with a line of single string cloth bracelets (that look like the same cloth of the Trion: Z) called the “Athletic Bracelets.” They also have al line called the “PGA Tour Magnetic Bracelets” sporting the PGA Tour logo. Sabona bracelets can get quite stylish and expensive at $139.95, with their tungsten carbide model, and especially with their .925 Sterling /magnetic line at $299.99 each.
All in all, you can wear these somewhat stylish and inexpensive Titan Rules and Trion; Z bracelets or go for the real stylish, more expensive jewelry look of the Sabona bracelets. Either way you get your relief externally rather than internally, ingesting medicine. These bracelets provide another option to pain relief and the stylish choice is yours.

Thanks to your swing I have eliminated the left rough on every hole, and I’m able to play more with less body stress.
About 15 years ago I started getting bad shoulder bursitis. I was getting cortisone shots. Then a friend recommended Sabona, and the shoulder pain went away. I still can’t pitch overhand baseball anymore, but day to day activities & golf is no problem.
Best regards,
Mike
Trion Z is a great product….
I use the Q Link, not sure how a coiled up wire in a piece of plastic can work to calm one down but it seems to. I have worn mine for years and rarely take it off. I guess I daren’t remove it now in case I turn into the Hulk or something, sheesh.
Dear Don,
I went to the Titan website and read their FAQs page. All of their claims are pure poppycock. At best these things may have a placebo effect. This is why they give them away to influential people. A few of these folks will feel or do better after putting them on (just based on statistical chance); a few of those who did or feel better will keep them on and viola, you have a testimonial and more sales. Titanium doesn’t hold an electrical charge, nor does it generate negative ions, nor does this help “balance” out a bodies positive ions (the total + and – charges in your body is zero).
Try replacing the band with a rubber band and see if there is any change. I would bet not.
Don,
I hope you are getting your nutrition through your diet and revitalizing your aging body with a good nights sleep. Keep the bracelets and wraps for decoration.
Bob, former magnetitian, working on shooting my age (72)
I can’t buy all that stuff about titanium, etc.,. I have 2 titanium rods in my back, attached by 4 titanium screws. I have lots of aches and pain and can only walk about a block without stopping to get a new supply of nutrients to my legs. I walked 18 and pulled a 2wheel cart prior to the spinal fusion in 2001.
Don ” with all your aches and pains” I quote. How did you acquire all these aches and pains. Not from your golf game I hope, I understood it was better for your body than a thai massage.

I wrecked my shoulder playing senior hockey, and was constantly rotating my arm around the socket to help ease the pain. Several months after purchasing a copper/magnetic bracelet in Palm Desert, as we were sitting watching TV, my wife stated that for about a month I had not been rotating my arm due to pain. I had not even noticed. As you state, whether copper and magnets work, or it’s psychosomatic, I believe!
I purchased a magnetic / copper bracelet from Fiddlers Green in Eugene Oregon for about 60 bucks and wore on a sore left wrist for 6 weeks. NOTHING. My wife then wore it on her sore wrist for another 6 or 8 weeks and NOTHING. From my perspective these are “gimics” and I should have known better
I am a scratch player, 61 years old. About a year ago I started shanking balls on the range but never on the course. Needless to say it’s quite unnerving going to the first tee after ten shanked balls. Now I never warm up before playing and rely on stretching only. What causes a shank and how do I eliminate it from my game. I can’t practice because of this.
I use a copper band on each wrist one bought at a store has magnets on either end. The other is one my Grandfather used that was home made from old electric wire about 3/16 in round. I believe it is supposed to be ionized by the electric current that has run through it making it like the $300.00 advertised bracelets. I have also been told that copper gives of some kind of a mild pain reliever in the area. At any rate when i feel run down and have practiced to much on the golf course my wrist turns green but I have no real pain. So I must say at 64, I and others will do whatever it takes to keep playing the game. Thanks for the space to write to you. Jack
John, look at ball position and alignment, usually aiming to far right without realizing, combined with probable ball too far back in stance.
I hope you don’t ever apply at NASA. Apparently you have not taken Quantum Physics. If you really believe that ionic exchange thing and magnetic what ever you call it, I suggest you go to a University and discuss these “concepts” with atomic physicists and electrical engineers. Snake oil salesmen have been around for 1000 + years. I am disappointed that you have incorporated these concepts with the PPGS program.
Sorry to all you fans of these bracelets.
These things are pure quackery. All the ‘effectiveness’ is psychosomatic. The only good news is that they won’t hurt either.
The universe is essentially neutral, so for a bracelet to create -ve ions, it’s got to create +ve ions too! If it didn’t you would become electro-statically charged and be shocked to death by the end of the day
Good nutrition, weight control and exercise are what’s good for the body. The mind needs to spend time reflecting on the universe and doing good, or at least trying…
Dear, Don,
If I buy your lessons, can you send them to Russia and if yes how much is it?(post delivery)
Since wearing my Trion Z no more achy sciatica and elbow pain! Also always happy and optimistic!…I sincerely recommend this product!
Re: Ion Bracelets
Come on Don, are you really going to step into the world of hocus pocus and endorse something that has been PROVEN to be a total fake. There have been a number of scientific studies, including one done in Canada a few years ago funded by CBC, and they have all proven that you can wear a twist tie on your wrist and convince yourself that it relieves pain.
I was really beginning to have confidence in your approach to the golf swing, but if you start getting into pseudo-scientific crap like ion bracelets, you might as well start reading palms and doing astrological charts too.
Think long and hard before you start using your reputation as the “swing surgeon” to promote snake oil cures and witchdoctor remedies, PLEASE! It will only hurt your reputation in the long run. I provide guidance to many high-profile public figures to help them make good decisions before they risk their reputation by endorsing things that are “questionable” so I know what I’m talking about!
I support your approach to the golf swing, and I would never claim to know more about it than you. When it comes to “new age” cures and “magic” I DO KNOW WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT.
Greg
Elbow pain is caused by the wrist bones separating— and these need to be wrapped, not the elbow!!
P.S. Don, if you believe that the ion bracelet works for you, that’s fine. (The key word here is “believe.”) Where you risk hurting your reputation is when you endorse their bogus claims. And, as you can see, there are many others (some with backgrounds in chemistry and physics) who are not pleased about your endorsement of these gimmicks.
Greg
I wear a powerfull Bioflow magnetic bracelet. Have been wearing it for approx 3 months. Hard to quantify if it’s been money well spent. It is said to improve the take up and flow of oxygen in the blood.
For me, wearing these things is a little like being a member of a religious sect: as long as it makes the people that have bought into it feel happy or well or whatever, why not.
I’d only get angry if Don ever tried not only to convince us we needed it but also to sell us it!
That is nothing more than costume jewelry. Psssssst, please. It may be a good placebo if you can really believe that nonsense. There is NO scientific evidence whatsoever to their claims. I think they balanced your ying, not your ying yang. Quackwatch dot com is overly unimpressed with the type of hucksters selling that stuff.
Most industries these days have disclosure requirements that dictate that you should disclose if you are getting compensation of any type when you discuss products. Is a disclosure statement needed here??
Don,
For the past 18 years I’ve been using products from the Nikken Corporation, a 5A1 Dun & Bradstreet rated, international, multi-billion dollar company. They are the only total wellness company in the world.
We have personally experienced dramatic results, and have seen literally thousands of other people receive positive results from using their patented, magnetic, far-infra red and negative ion producing technologies.
There are hundreds of Doctors using and promoting their technologies, and some of them have even quit their practices to share Nikken technologies because they’ve found they can help more people with their health that way than being a physician.
I especially like to wear the Sports Bracelet when playing golf, which is flexible rubber with a magnetic clasp that contains magnets, far-infra red and negative ion generating properties. The fact that they do something positive can be shown with a simple demonstration that takes about two seconds. Shannon Miller, the most decorated female Olympic athlete in the US uses and endorses these products.
The science is there, the double blind studies have been done (I have copies of them)….these technologies absolutely work!
Hey Surge:
Great info on the bracelets. I dislocated my wrist some years back hitting a ball right on the lip of a bunker. The Trion Z bracelet has saved me since. http://www.aboutjuniorgolf.com
Surge:
You probably didn’t realize it at the time, but you now have endorsed several products other than the PPGS program. In your manual and DVDs you claim that the golf swing is scientifically proven thru physics and physiology. Why didn’t you go to unbiased scientific sources before endorsing these bracelets? The proper reply to the arm problem is to seek medical advice if the arm problem is severe, or as you did in previous articles suggest swing changes, posture, etc. Using propaganda from retailing firms because they said so is misleading. If you remember back in the 1940s-1950s, cigarette companies claimed cigarette smoking was not harmful to the body. They even had scientists testify to that effect. These scientists were not independent research scientists, but company paid scientists that also claimed their studies were not flawed. Let me ask you this, can your PPGS golf swing stand up to peer review?
PEOPLE, SURGE SAID AT THE START.THAT HE DOESNT ENDORSE THESE PRODUCTS,JUST TELLING YOU WHAT THEY DO FOR HIM. THIS WONT HURT HIS REPUTATION
Yeah, remember Pyramid Power. No one mentions that anymore, I wonder why? You just lost my faith in you?
Don,
Wore copper bracelets on both wrists for 30 years as a cure for arthritis. Decided to stop when advised that doing so could cause dementia. Because of all the contradicting arguments decided to take the obviously best option. Since making that decision ten years ago, have not been troubled by arthritis. Do not have dementia yet, but sometimes golf drives me crazy!.
regards……..Ron from ozz.
Don…You’re getting goofier the more they let you out. Try wrapping a dry turd in a napkin and wear it around your neck. It’s better than the pork chop you had to wear as a kid…and it will do as much good as any bracelet you are sillyy enough to buy!
If it is an official Nikken bracelet it’s true. Check it out for yourself.
The disclosure statement should also apply to Dennis Williams.
Surge,
I have seen a couple of Jack Nicklaus’ videos. He advocates using the same stroke for all shots and the same ball placement. He says due to the way the golf swing is performed that the ball should be tee’d up just inside of the left heel for right handers for all shots. He maintains that distance is determined by club selection. In my way of thinking this method wouldn’t work too well with my clubs since the irons are all of different lengths. Does Jack Nicklaus have all his clubs made to the same exact length? I think what he is trying to do is to simplify the golf swing for his students and make the player swing the club in a more uniform fashion. However with different length clubs it seems impossible to me to have the clubhead arrive at the ball with the face square to the ball and target if you tee the ball in the same spot on every shot due to the different length clubs the player has in his bag. Can you explain this for me an possibly other golfers that may be confused here? Thanks.
Raymond Graham
Mr. Mcreary, the vast majority of shanking comes from an improper set up. Because the ball is being hit on the hosel, most people think they are standing too FAR from the ball. In reality, it is usually exactly the opposite. Our arms “get longer” due to the momentum of the club head as we swing. Try giving yourself a bit more room and see if that works.
Fred
I’m considering melting down a truckload of these ion metallic bracelets into a vat and submerging my whole body overnight. At this point I’ll try anything

Don–I’ve been trying to get in touch with you to congratulate you for rascing a CHAMPION. You might not remember me, But I’m the dentist that got you out of a little pain in Columbia< SC at a show about 15 years ago. Again, thanks for your book and the chest-bar you most graciously gave me. Hope everything is going well for you and the family. Jim
To Raymond Graham.
Hi Raymond.
Jack Nicklaus, like any golf instructor, is really telling us what works for him. Two (2) inches inside his left heel may well be the low point of his swing with all of the clubs. It is certainly not the low point of my swing and it may not be the low point of your swing. You have to remamber that Jack is an expert technician and he could, with minimal practice, make just about anything work for him.
I suggest that you take a selection of clubs – say, 3, 5, 7, 9 irons and maybe a hybrid or fairway wood – go outside and, without using a ball, take your normal stance for each of those clubs and make a normal swing, Observe the spot in your stance where the club head strikes the ground. That is the low point of ‘your’ swing. Your club head might, but most probably will not strike the ground 2 inches inside your left heel.
There are two main schools of thought on the matter of ball placement: (a) use the same ball placement for every club in the bag and just move the back foot closer to the ball as the clubs get shorter; and (b) move the ball back towards the back foot as the clubs get shorter.
The latter seems to be the most commonly recommended ball placement method. You just have to find out by trial and error which method best suits your body shape, swing shape, etc.
Hope that this helps.
Cheers
I have the “Q” and I have tried the ion bracelets and I have tried the magnets. I have since had both of my knees replaced 2 years ago this month. It has been a whole learning experience in my game. Unable to torque my knees more than 15 degrees. I continue to work in the O R 50 + hours a week and I still managed 130 rounds this year. I still have aches and pains but I have found a new answer to pain energy and sleep.
I know 3 products which help with pain, sleep and energy without drus or side affects. Check out my website. The only requirement is to be well hydrated with the chips.
Oh boy Don, Sometimes you get all the sensitive fruit loops on your site. Having followed your golf blogs for some time I know your not trying to sell us on unusual cures, simply sharing yours and others’ experiences with certain products. Calm done everybody! Many of us have been asking for his thoughts on dealing with aches and pains and aurthritus. Hey folfs, take what you can use and leave what you can’t, but please don’t flip out over well meant imformation.
To all the Nay Sayers!
So, I’m wondering how much you think the medical profession is trained in non traditional medicine? My father is a DSc. with specialty in natural and holistic remedies rather than conventional “medicine”. Basically, the mainstream approach is to treat symptoms rather than the cause.
As a physical being out body’s are negatively charged. In our present day enviroment, we are bombared by a surplus of positive ions due to computers, tv, high powered wires, etc etc. Those who work in enclosed eco systems and spend little to no time out of doors are the most inundated. As we learned early on, opposites attract. So, we being negative attract positive. The resulting consequences is that it compromises the immune system over a period of time. So, this means that injuries take longer to heal, etc. The benefit of negative ion bracelets is it helps restore balance. When balance is restored, the body is able to heal itself more readily. Magnetic therapy works very similiar to heating pads. They increase the blood flow which increases the removal of oxolic acid which converts into crystals and the result is pain such as tendonitis. In 1996 I was diagnosed with the worst case of tendonitis that this particular doctor had ever seen, both lateral and medial sides of both elbows. After a battery of anti-inflammatories and pain pills with codine (which didn’t help) and not getting any better. I did a search for non invasive therapies and learned of these mentioned. WIthin 3 weeks I was pain free. And if at times now I stop using them for a few days, the right elbow will still flair up due to movements that I do in work. So, I know they work, personally. Do they work for everyone? NOPE! Does that make it less viable. Well, unless you want to throw out all “medicine” since some cures work for some and not for others, I don’t think so. So, if it works for some, great. If not for others, it is a shame. But, don’t tell those of us that it helps that it doesn’t work. We know better.
Also, if these “remedies” don’t work, they’d fade away as most things do that are bogus. So, we’ll wait and see.
Quote from above And, as you can see, there are many others (some with backgrounds in chemistry and physics) who are not pleased about your endorsement of these gimmicks.
And I’m wondering what chemistry and physics has to do with any of the principles involved.
Elbow pain? The most common source? How about it’s caused in large by over use of muscles by repetitive motion or excessive strain and the resultant inflammation of the tendons at the insertion point in the elbow. The inflammation is a result of the build up of lactic acid (not oxalic acid as I previously mentioned, that substance is another whole story)
There are two main schools of thought on the matter of ball placement: (a) use the same ball placement for every club in the bag and just move the back foot closer to the ball as the clubs get shorter; and (b) move the ball back towards the back foot as the clubs get shorter.
Jack play the ball of his left heel on every shot but the width of his stance changed with every club wide stance with a driver and short width stance with a wedge plus he played with a week grig.
I have Butch harmon tape conquering golf that he says the same thing about ball position .
fact is do what ever works
sorry to all u hope fulls out there i had this swing fifteen years ago & got to 11 its all about hard work time & patience all things the average hacker has not got & don there are some unhappy people on this site not good 4 your image good luck u all
Hello Don, My self I wear a magnetic bracelet on my left wrist, been suffering from tendonitis in that wrist. So far it’s been little or no pain after wearing it for a couple of days even after playing 54 holes of golf in four days. Think I may have played my last round this season here in Northern Nevada as they predict snow this weekend. The PPGS swing with my iron shots has produced straight consistant shots now from my wedges to my 5 iron. Even my driver and 3-4-7 woods have improved. The only issue I was having the last round was shots landing on the greens and rolling off the back edge due to them being frozen just below the surface. Still shot a 40 on the front and 42 on the back nine. Outside temps were 36 degrees with a 10-15 mph wind. My driving game has greatly improved with a average distance of 260 with most now landing in the fairway. Any suggestions for practicing indoors, Swing aids with the weights to gain strength in the proper muscles to stay in shape for next spring? Have been following a book called the Golfers Guide to Pilates. Since breaking my neck in April and damaging 7 other vertebrae from L4 on up it has been the greatest help to rebuild a strong core and increase my flexbility to a point even better than prior to my Racing accident. Work out daily and plan on staying in shape and increasing my strength and flexability during the off season. I’m 51 and have been always athletic, Raced Motocross for the last 26 years while playing golf on and off during that time. I plan on playing in some Golf Channel Tournaments this next year. Thanks for the great help with a new grip and swing I’m hitting the ball better than ever and have no pain at all. For all you guys out there who have lost distance with their driver, keep working on the swing timing and follow through the distance will come back just as good or even better than before. George By the way the E-mail with the videos of the swing did not come thru. i have no other issues with the site or access to any of the other videos or PPGS manual.
I found all of these comments so funny that I felt inspired to rent the DVD film with Kevin Costner, “Tin Cup”, and watch the scene with him wearing all of that ridiculous golfing paraphanalia! I immediately felt better (having laughed), and saved my money (and concentration) for better things! Thanks, Kevin, for giving me another laugh at how seriously we golfers take ourselves…
Don,
You’ve built your reputation around developing a swing based on on optimum human biomechanics, after consulting with experts in their respective fields.
If you don’t have any factual information to share, take a day off rather than fill my inbox with this bullshit that has no evidence of any benefit.
I am disappointed and feel you have ’sold out’ with this article, and as such will be unsubscribing from further correspondence
Sam
Can you clear up something that often features in your correspondence. I did get the impression, when I paid for the PPGS that I would actually receive DVD’s. I then assumed that all I would get was the downloads since no DVD’s arrived. Can you please clarify the situation once and for all for me and the others that have enquired.
To Anne & Surfmike: To help you I need more information like your last name, E-MAIL address etc: or call me Ken Trahan at 888-847-9464, thanks.
pretty funny discussions here. just remember if it works for you then its good even though it doesn’t work for the other guy. i used to have anxiety problems. not wanting to take pills i bought a q-link and the rest is history… i feel great every day. that was 7 years ago. maybe it was a mental thing but who cares! it worked for me. just like this swing worked for me allowing me to practice or play anytime i want without the back pain i experienced playing golf for the last 20+ years. i tried other swings that didn’t help me but they were probably good for someone else. just remember when we have doctors saying these things are bogus they get paid by the drug manufacturers to sell their pills. so like this swing if it works for you believe in it and use it. the mind is a powerful thing.

Hello,Don!
This time your two videos did not work properly!
D J’s was without sound and yours went very slowly!Perhaps you could send the videos again because
all the others are really excellent!
Have a nice day!

Hi, All; Comments have been made about how the “establishment” medical profession does not really know or understand about alternative therapies and devices. There is a good reason why.
There has never been a proper double blind study, correcting for the placebo effect, that has shown ANY benefit for any of these.. This is not because there have been no studies, (there have been many), but that the only ones showing a positive outcome have been either anecdotal (like yours, or many of the comments here) or seriously flawed in methodology and data gathering.
The placebo effect can be very large, but, remember, it is all in the mind (which can have a genuine effect on the body, as we all know)–If your friend tells you something works, you’ll probably believe him/her; if some bigwig says no, you probably will disregard it. Unfortunately, in this case the bigwig (not me fa’sure) is right!!
So, Surge, you could be wearing rubber bands on your wrists, or pieces of string, or whatever, and if you believed they were doing you some good, they would probably help. But in terms of their actually doing something physical directly, (except making money for charletans), there is no credible evidence, and, in fact, in many cases, directly contradictory evidence.
Look up the book, “Snake Oil Science”
Sorry folks, it’s all bunkum!! ;-{)
Thank goodness for the medical patrols and authorities. I wonder how anybody ever got well before there was an AMA. If you’re limited understanding to how magnetic therapy is akeen to heat therapy and the validity of negative ion therapy, then I guess you just don’t have a lot of understanding. I really was quite amused the the statment above that the human body is neutral. Really? That one is easy to dispute. Our molecular structure has one extra electron in each atom and therefore as a being, our polarity is indeed negative. Also, the human populus manages to polute most things in the enviroment. Buy virtue of florescent lights, computers, TV, synthetic clothing and other fibers, high tension power wires and various unsundry things, we are bombared by an influx of positive ions. Those who are involved with the items in excess on a daily basis or spend a fair amount of time out of doors, are more likely not to have an over abundance. So, the idea that this is SNAKE OIL is not only incorrect, it’s ridiculous. But often is the case for those who are uninformed and wish not to be. I digress. Back to the issue. The notion that this “instruments” heal you is incorrect. What they do achieve is balance in the system as it was meant to be and when the human body is in balance and receives proper nutrition and rest, it can heal itself as the good Lord designed it to do. So, unless you have first hand experience and knowledge, your finger pointing is rather condescending. BTW, I personally know of many doctors and chiropractors that were magnetic or negative ion bracelets. But, don’t every expect the AMA to say that there is any benefit to this “therapies” as there is no money in it for them and as long as they can keep the public uninformed they will continue to fill their coffers. Also, I have tried rubber band, large ones, small ones, and even some with color and I still don’t get the benefit that I get from the others.
Hewy surge just wanted to let ya know that I cudn’t getthose free vids of u and dj. Was lookiig
for ward to them.
I sent a message to you asking when I could expect the DVDs and you said I would receive a
reply within 24 hours. Well…it’s been 24 hours and no reply. Although I have enjoyed the series
so far, I would still appreciate an answer and the videos! If not….please cancel and return my
money! Jim
Wow; I did not realize emotions ran quite so high regarding these devices, or that there was so much misinformation floating around. First, by and large, doctors are not scientists (and chiropractors don’t even deserve to be called doctors), and they can be as gullible as anyone.
The AMA probably has a position on this stuff, but, check with the CDC, FDA, NIH, National Cancer Institute, the Arthritis Society, etc, etc, none of whom have any axes to grind. And, to quote
“I really was quite amused the the statement above that the human body is neutral. Really? That one is easy to dispute. Our molecular structure has one extra electron in each atom and therefore as a being, our polarity is indeed negative. ”
I don’t know who told you that, but it is so wrong as to be close to meaningless. I understand chemistry, molecular physics and quantum mechanics, and a statement like that betrays a deliberate distortion into complete nonsense. If you had one extra electron in each atom (extra? extra to what?), you’d be fizzing like a high voltage transmission line, and you’d certainly be dead!.
Again, it’s all BS, intended to get people to buy useless products for an inflated price.
I fallow comments on magnet therapy daily for my web site. I find #The Surge” comments on his experience very helpful. (1) The radial ulnar twist in a golf swing is very stressful. Therefor ion and magnetic reduction of the stress products will help maintain healthy repair of the stress. (2) Why would it help the wife with knee pain? Answer: The arms are used to balance the legs when walking. Therefore any inhibition of the arm swing will place stress on the leg swing and most commonly causes knee stress by repetitive pounding while in a twisted position.
Based on my experience both as a massage specialist and magnetic therapist.

Tried all the copper/magnets/etc none of them worked BUT TRION Z IS AMAZING!!!!! IT WORKS!!!
To Warren and the other Nay Sayers.
The information I have given is not in error and can be backed. I am guilty of over simplifiying and so now, the rest of the story.
Talk about a statement that is utter nonsense…………CDC, FDA, NIH, National Cancer Institute, the Arthritis Society, etc, etc, none of whom have any axes to grind.
Man, please. All these organizations are back by $$$$$$$$$$$$$ derived from the petro-chemical alliance and have strong ties to the AMA. Please, are you so naive’ that you for one minute believe that the powers that be behind these groups want you to get well? Where is the profitability in that. So, don’t get on that band wagon. And, just where do you get off on your dispersions of chiropractors? Are you really that far gone that you think the skeletal part of our body doesn’t get out of alignment due to stress, injury, or accident? Get your head out of the sand.
Further explanation on my statements above are based on FREE RADICALS. If you have no idea what that is, please research it before calling in junk.
Typically, stable molecules contain pairs of electrons. When a chemical reaction breaks the bonds that hold paired electrons together, free radicals are produced. Free radicals contain an odd number of electrons, which makes them unstable, short-lived, and highly reactive. As they combine with other atoms that contain unpaired electrons, new radicals are created, and a chain reaction begins. This process is essential for the decomposition of many different substances at high temperatures.
However, in the human body, oxidized free radicals are believed to cause tissue damage at the cellular level — harming our DNA, mitochondria, and cell membrane.
So, due to the life style, diets, etc. etc. of most humans, particularly Americans, we have altered the body and it’s over all charge. Anti-oxidents are helpful as well as other ion producing agents. You don’t even have to get the bracelets or whatever. You can get negative ion generators and a fair amount of business with enclosed eco-systems use them and have reported less absenteeism and overall increase in production.
I’m sure this won’t have any impact on you since you are so well schooled in main stream and conventional idealology but for those that are at least open to learning the truth that could help them, there it is.
Don, I was not able to open the videos of your and DJ’s swings at pgaprovideos.com/don-and-dj-swings. Is there some other way I can view them?
Thanks,
Bill
i and a few members wear the trion:z braclets for couple of years now, all i can say is that they do work one way or the other. They even help you sleep (well us anyway). A very good product.
thanks and have a good one

Don,
As a physician, 12 years ago I was completely skeptical about these non-medicine modalities. I thought, “If they worked as well as people claimed… we sould surely know about them.. and they would be mainstream as aspirin & ibuprofen.”
When I saw over 50% of my “joint challenged” limping patients stop limping within 10 minutes of my holding a spinning magnet next to their knees, I thought that it had to be all “in their mind.”
But when I did the same thing next to the bad-hip of a limping German Shepherd… and within 20 minutes witnessed it running around like a puppy, with NO LIMP… I knew that this was real. No mind-over-matter, with a dog. It was at that moment that I realized that, doctors only know what they’ve been taught. They cannot possibly know what they were not taught in school. No one taught ME about this! A friend did. A friend who cared.
So…
All of your readers who suffer with issues (or have loved one who suffer with issues) should keep an open mind about things. If even the most-skeptical person in the world took the time to try these Nikken products on a few limping dogs or horses… and witnessed happen what I know will happen to at least a good %… they will realize that things are not always as they appear. And that just because the “experts” and the “masses” believe something to be true or false… does not make it “SO.”
{Just ask columbus what EVERYONE was saying about what’s beneath your feet, right now… in 1491.}
Hey. I wear magnetic insoles in my shoes. When I was told I would get an extra ten yards on my drives, I laughed.
I laughed even harder when I wore them to the range…. and I got (and get) and extra twenty!
