FAQs

Q. I’m missing one or more of the videos in the free 10 Mistakes video series, how do I get those?

A. You can simply follow this link, put in the email address that you originally signed up with… and you’ll be able to view them immediately:

Q. I haven’t received the Digital Videos (the digital version of the DVDs)

A. All you need to do is login to the members area and click on the “My Products” link to view the Digital Foundation Series Videos that are the same videos as the physical DVDs.  To login to the members area, simply click on the “Members Login” link at the top of any page.

Q. How do I login to the private members area to access the products I have purchased?

A. Our digital content is held on our private members area.   You can access the private members area by clicking on the “Members Login” link at the top of every page (including this one).  You login with your email address and the password you selected the first time you logged in.  If you have never logged in before, simply click on the “First Time User?” link at the bottom of the login page and follow the instructions.  If you’ve complete the First Time User step previously and don’t remember your password, click on the “Forgot Your Password?” link and it will be sent to you.

Q. How do I watch the videos online?

A. Login to the members area and go to the “DVD Series” menu choice at the top of the page and then click on the menu on the left for the different DVDs in the series. To login to the members area, simply click on the “Members Login” link at the top of any page.

Q. How do I download the DVDs to my iPhone?

A. You go to the iPhone download page on the left menu, in the DVD Series section (inside the members area). You’ll right click the link at the bottom of the page and save the zip file to your computer. Next you’ll unzip the files in a folder on your computer where you’ll access (import) those files into your iTunes. From there you just use your normal setting to sync up your iTunes files (videos in this case) with your iPhone.

Q. How do I download the videos to my computer and watch them there?

A. In the “DVD Series” section (in the members area), you’ll see a link in the left “green” menu that says “Full Download”, or by putting your mouse over each indivudal DVD, you’ll see a “sub” menu choices that allows you to download just that DVD.

Q. How do I get the Foundations Manual if I haven’t ordered it yet?

A. There will be a link in our “Products” section of the members area this coming week.

Q. What if I want to actual DVDs sent to me (the physical product)?

A. We will have a link for you to purchase the physical product (since you own the digital version) for our cost for the DVDs packaging and shipping.

Q. What if I want a printed version of the Foundations Manual?

A. You can get that two ways; #1. you can download the PDF file and print the pages on your printer… or #2, you can order the printed version and we’ll send it to you for our cost (the cost of printing it, packaging and shipping (because you already own the digital version).

Q. How do I get the videos to play “Full Screen” in the members area?

A. While watching the videos, just left of the volume control button in the lower right hand corner of the video player. If you click on the 4 small arrows, all pointing outward, the video will expand to your full screen. You can reduce it to it’s normal size by hitting your “Escape” (Esc) key.

Q. What Is a Whitelist?

A. Whitelisting refers to making someone a “trusted sender” in your email client. You can do this by adding Don’s email address to your “Address Book” in your email client. This will you’ll be able to always receive all the video lessons and Blog update.

    I forgot to mention that I had also, as you suggested, run the whole video through – with the problems – and then ran it again.
    Problem disappeared!
    Why?
    Is it like “Why 'Control/Alt/Delete?'” Is it that the answer is: “It just is!”?

    If your connection is a bit slow you'll experience what is called buffering … the video and audio don't reach your computer fast enough for smooth play and you'll see the pauses, stuttering, etc. When you play it back the second time, it has all made it to your computer so it plays from the cache rather than streamed.

    With firefox as your browser and the download helper add-in you can actually save the videos to your computer and watch them any time you want even if not connected to the internet.

    When I signed up for your golf analysis, etc., I expected to receive DVD's so that I am able to watch any place — anytime — not tied to my computer/internet!
    Can that be done? If not, I would be willing to cancel the whole thing — take a load off your sales!

    Apparently you missed the words “Download Instructions will be sent to this email” ….. “”DVD Series – Digital Version” … “Downloadable format — start watching them in the next 3 minutes!” …. during the ordering process. Below are the instructions for ordering a physical copy. I don't know how easy it is since I downloaded the vids to my computer in less than ten minutes for the entire series to include the driver, short game and putter.

    By the way … it's too easy to burn the downloaded videos to a disc.

You will get a drop down menu where you have the option of choosing Unsubscribe from this sender. That will remove you. There is another click here link at the bottom of one of Dons messages that will remove you from daily tips.

    Hitting the ball straight is great,but sometimes you want to have the ball go from right to left or left to right. I've heard some instructors advise using a stronger grip on the club.Others say you should drop one foot or the other back so as to change to swing plane. What is the correct way to intentionally bend you shots when that becomes necessary on the golf course?

    1.Straight ball: Foot line and target line parallel(like railroad tracks).
    2.Draw: Foot line slightly closed to target line. Clubface square to target line.
    3.Fade: Foot line slightly open to target line. Clubface square to target line.

    Swing along foot line for all three shots.

    WHEN YOU DOWNLOAD THE VIDEOS CLICK SAVE NOT OPEN THEY ARE THEN SAVED TO DOWNLOADS IN YOUR DOCUMENTS FOLDER AND CAN BE WATCHED OVER AND OVER JUST COMPLETED MY DOWNLOADS AND HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH ANY

    Surge, I started your PP swing approx. 45 days ago and I am really enjoying it, I was having trouble breaking 90 and my last 2 scores were 81 and 83…the only problem I seem to have is that I am not hitting my hybrids and woods as solid as my irons. In fact… the last round of 83, I actually hit 6 or 7 fairways and felt like I scrambled all Day ? My woods would either be hit thin or be pulled left! any thoughts?

    I've bought your videos and tried to adopt the PPGS with some early success where countless lessons worked during the lesson but leaked out of my shoes as I left the lesson area. I watch and review the basic lessons many times and glean some new intricacy from each viewing. What's my problem?

    As I watch your daily ” tips ” some confusion seeps into the simplicity of your method. Each time I push the ” unsubscribe ” button, I get the message that ” Sorry, we can't do that right now .” or something like that. When I'm confident with my swing I'll start watching again.

    Of course, I could just delete the tips, but that's not in one's nature.

    Can you help me out?

I ordered and paid for the video tapes to be delivered over four weeks ago and have had nothing but e-mail video clips since. I want to know how to obtain what I ordered or request that the money I paid be returned.

    I'm 7hcp finnish player who has suffered from overswing and poor contact with wedges. My good shots are powerfull and long draws, but poor shots are weak wedges. PP-swing idea works best for me when hitting my 20deg hybrid (s-flex graphene shaft), but with driver and especially with wedgeshots i lack consistency. I have not very strong arms, which makes the idea of fast up and down arm swing not so easy, so i feel like my major power source is my torso – which is why i tend to go little bit too inside from backswing, which leads to all kinds of problems. I have considered to change all my steel shafts to graphene (s-flex) and the wedges (xs-flex) – Reducing the club weight would definitely make the armswing easier. Any experience of this kind of case?

    Based on what you've posted it sounds like you're not maintaining your spine angle throughout the swing and probably mixing portions of your old swing with components of the PPGS.

    The only time I've had wrist pain that wasn't the result of smacking the ground way too hard was from concentrating so hard on keeping my wrists firm that I started overly tensing the muscles in my arm. Remember, it's firm … not locked … wrists. Some natural flexing is ok.

    I recently purchased your system and am thrilled with the results and the quality of the videos (the chipping video is my favorite but hard to hear DJ). Can you please add more volume to this and the rest of the DVDs. I use earphones and still have a problem hearing sometimes.

    I had occasion to use the live chat — it took forever to connect and then when it did the person had a hard time understanding me — at one point they even said they could not find my account. Eventually, it was found — my problems was signing into the Member Forums. It kept asking me to sign in again and again. No matter how hard I tried I could not get the chat person to understand that. Finally he told me to try again and proceeded to type my email address and password I had originally submitted. I believe this subjected me and maybe others to identity fraud issues. Please advise your people not to divulge PASSWORDS at any time.

    I am having great success with PPS but have a query. Is it necessary to move the club back to the mitt before climbing the tree when it is possible to get into the correct position at the top by swinging straight there? Thx.

    The mitt is on the proper swing plane for the PPGS. If you're using a one piece takeaway and remaining vertical as seen down the line, then you're probably going through it if you're reaching the proper point at the top of your backswing.

    I liked the write up you have and it helped somewhat, but the arguement I have with my friend is the harder of the two sports. Is golf a harder or easier sport than baseball and baseball Vs tennis or criquet pls advise TONY……….

    I am a 44 year old mother of two and I just picked up golf clubs for the first time about 8 months ago. I signed up for your free videos and the physics of your system just made sense to me. I could never understand why everyone kept trying to get me to rotate more and get my club back so far. I started out shooting around 100, this summer in the mid 90’s, but about one month after I bought the PPG videos I just shot an 83. Thanks Surge for bringing some common sense to the game for me.

    Anyone have any thoughts abourt gaining added flexibility. I’m a senior (64) and can’t get the club back to the 3/4 swing. I’m only about 1/2 way back and, of course, have lost significant distance. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
