SURGE I have been reading various comments with problems for the past several weeks and would like to make comment. Firstly, I can't get the post comment to work using the blog site your e-mail's come in on. So I tried another approcah clicking on one of your headers and this site came up and allows me to post as an e-mail. The folks having problems need to go back and review over and over your video's along with the new movies you have provided for download. The bottom line folks is good grip, proper stance and setup. Next, everyone of us is built differently with different physical characteristics. Me, I am short with short legs and short arms and long torso but I playing good with the PPGS lessons and competing pretty well. Learn to swing within yourself. SURGE keeps saying everything has to work together. I call that SYNC. When something is out of SYNC then golf swing begins to break down, the results depending on what is not in SYNC. I have found that the PPGS works from driver all the way down to the chipping clubs. Stay withing yourself. You will develop finess and good timing. In my case when things begin to break down it is invariably the right side trying to dominate the left side. I am out of SYNC. I correct it by practice swings with only the left arm holding the club, this seems to help get me back on track. Remember, the left arm is the pendulum and the left shoulder is the fulcrum. With the arms being what is swinging the club this helps me remember to not let the shoulders start getting back into the swing like the old instruction used to teach. I could go on and on but will end with thanks you's to SURGE for all the help. P.S. I never did get the manual even after calling customer support.

Dear Don,
I have just purchased your videos in your latest promotion … I will enjoy looking at them and doing some of your drills soon. Strangely, the reason I purchased them was not because I am feeling a great need to change my swing as it is pretty solid already and close to a standard PPGS swing … one of the great joys of golf for me is the process of going out regularly and trying new things, and changing my swing slightly to try and improve some aspect of my game (I haven’t been one for lessons or the like). The real reason I purchased the videos was because I wanted to pay you something for the thousands of dollars worth of enjoyment I have received from your daily letters! There really is no-one on the internet like you who actually just gives of your wisdom and advice for free, simply because (it seems to me) you love golf and love helping golfers to improve their game, whoever they may be. I am reminded of Harvey Penick’s famous words, “And if you play golf, You’re my friend” … in this same spirit you have befriended tens of thousands of golfers around the world with the open hearted and generous way you keep helping so many people (and give avid golfers some great reading on a regular basis). All power to you I say! … and thank you again.
Cheers,

Don:
I purchased your Video series and downloaded them but the July 2010 Update will not let me watch it. Also, you are sending me tons of emails of which some of them contain videos 4 through 10. Are these additional videos beyond the ones I already downloaded or are they new ones? Please advise!
The updated setup videos are in .flv format. There are several free players which handle them with ease with VLC player being my preference. It's downloadable from http://www.videolan.org/vlc
Does it really make a differance to a player that shoots normally 5 to 20 shots above 100, wheather they are using graphite or steel shafts?
That depends. Does that player want to keep shooting such high scores?
Talk to a fitter … it could be a material problem, a club length issue, the wrong flex, or a myriad of other things. After those are figured out, the pros and cons of graphite and steel can be compared to make a decision.
From one surgeon to another………..
Don,
I'm a just turned 74 year old orthopaedic surgeon,in good shape, six feet three and 180 pounds,
doing regular weight training, and walking the course carrying the bag.Years ago,I carried a 14 handicap but never really knew how to hit the ball.
Over the past 5 years my game has gone so far south that I usually play by myself or with close friends who won't laugh at my comic attempts to strike the ball. For a while,it got so bad that I couldn't get the ball in the air with any club.I've taken several series of lessons from different pros to no avail.I could hit the ball only when they stood beside me.I haven't turned in a score in two years.
I tried all the “systems” including Natural Golf,Stack and tilt, one plane two plane(tried both ways) and Swing Machine Golf.I went on line for hints and tips until I almost made the decision to quit completely.
About 8 months ago I came upon PPGS and decided “What the hell,I'll give it a try!”At first it seemed to be helpful but then I lost it and gave up on the system. The fourth or fifth time I went back to it,something clicked and the parts fell together.
Now,each time I go out,the swing and my confidence improve.I would still classify myself as a hacker but I'm no longer embarrassed.
You are a dedicated teacher who obviously cares about your students' success.I can't thank you enough.
